Our Artist Facilitators

We are incredibly lucky to have team of local artists who facility our regular sessions.

Hello, I am Diane

I am 63 years old. I retired at 58 after working for a local family run business for over 40 years.  I wanted some time so that I could the things in life I love: knitting, sewing, and all types of crafting.

I also love gardening and spending time with all of the lovely friends I have made throughout my life.

I have a husband, Simon, who has just retired and a son, Sam, who is studying music performance at Chester University. He plays base guitar in a band called White Onyx.

I absolutely love the Whitchurch Art and Craft Hub it gives me such pleasure and time to enjoy all the things in life i just love.

Hello, I am Anne

I worked as a teacher for 25 years before I discovered my love of art by joining a local art club.

I realised how good art was for my well being and after exhibiting work I became interested in helping others become creative.

I live in Whitchurch and have two daughters. As they are now grown up I have more time to pursue my love of art and craft and to grow this Hub.

I studied art therapy and opened the Whitchurch Art and Craft Hub in July 2025 in order to make art accessible to everyone.

Hello, I am Debs

I'm 60, a wife, mother of 2, grandma of 1 and the owner of Doodledash Creative, a business I started in 2012 as an outlet for my love of all things vintage & beautiful.

My husband and I recently relocated to the Whitchurch area, from Oxfordshire and I was so happy to discover the Hub and find my creative tribe!

I completely lose myself when I am immersed in the creative process, and I’m more than happy to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with you.

Hello, I am Julie

I'm an almost 70 year old retired junior school teacher and lover of all things art and craft. Wife to long suffering Al and mum to 2 and nan to 4.

I have always enjoyed making and have tried many different crafts over the years. I was lucky enough to be made head of Art at my last school, which allowed me to pass on my love of that to all the children as well as some TAs!

Since moving to Whitchurch from Yorkshire I've looked for some outlet for my crafty habit, and was so pleased to find out about the Art Hub. Crafting is so much more than the process, it's the people you do it with too.

I'm happy to share any knowledge and my love of art and craft with you as well as learn new things along the way.

Volunteers

As well as our artist facilitators, we are supported by a fantastic group of volunteers.

Without them we wouldn't be able to run the Whitchurch Art and Craft Hub!

Our volunteer team includes: Dawn Pearce, Emma Brierly, Carrie Ward, Di Davies

IHello I am Linda

am 60 years old and live in Whitchurch with my partner and our 20 year old son.

I've always worked in accounts, but have had a passion for drawing and painting from a very young age.

I joined Anne and the team at the hub, to be able to do those things I love, and have learnt many new skills in different art and crafts.

The hub brings people together to share their skills and enjoy time together.

Hello I am Tracey

I am 59 yrs young and retired. I have a talented husband who also loves crafting and making items. We have a 29 year young son named James.

I have meddled in all sorts of art from stone painting, embroidery and crochet (I have given guidance in the hub on this subject).

I also enjoy the hub for all the friendly people and chats, as well as all the new areas of art I have tried and learnt lots about, like watercolour, quilling and decoupage, to name a few.

We are supported by a small but growing group of local artists who deliver our specialist workshops.

See the workshop page for more information on the workshops they are delivering for Whitchurch Art and Craft Hub.
