Our Artists

We are incredibly lucky to have team of local artists who deliver our workshop sessions.

Hello, I am Anne

I worked as a teacher for 25 years before I discovered my love of art by joining a local art club.

I realised how good art was for my well being and after exhibiting work I became interested in helping others become creative.

I live in Whitchurch and have two daughters. As they are now grown up I have more time to pursue my love of art and craft and to grow this Hub.

I studied art therapy and opened the Whitchurch Art and Craft Hub in July 2025 in order to make art accessible to everyone.

Hello, I am Jaine

I moved to Shropshire, with my husband  5 years ago. I retired in 2025 so that I could spend more time doing the things I love.

I've always loved arts and crafts and started crocheting in 2020 while in Covid lockdown - it helped soothe my mind. I also began needle felting - and am now a little addicted having made over 50 animals, people and wool paintings.

I run some of the needle felting workshops and love sharing my passion for art and crafts with you.

IHello,  I am Linda

am 60 years old and live in Whitchurch with my partner and our 20 year old son.

I've always worked in accounts, but have had a passion for drawing and painting from a very young age.

I joined Anne and the team at the hub, to be able to do those things I love, and have learnt many new skills in different art and crafts.

The hub brings people together to share their skills and enjoy time together.

Hello, I am Tracey

I am 59 yrs young and retired. I have a talented husband who also loves crafting and making items. We have a 29 year young son named James.

I have meddled in all sorts of art from stone painting, embroidery and crochet (I have given guidance in the hub on this subject).

I also enjoy the hub for all the friendly people and chats, as well as all the new areas of art I have tried and learnt lots about, like watercolour, quilling and decoupage, to name a few.

Hello, I am Les

I am 70 years of age, retired (twice) and a proud Salopianand family man who enjoys life to the full.I'm a self taught artist who picked up paint brushed as reently as 2022. I get my inspiration from nature and wildlife and my home surroundings.

I love all aspects of art and creativity and accept that I have much to learn. I have always been creative and in short, will have a go at anything.

I enjoy woodwork as much as painting and have engaged in many projects from toys to tree houses and rockig horses.  I have been very fortunate to sell my art in places as diverse as America, Dubai, Ireland and of course Whitchurch.

I love my times facilitating at the Hub, meeting and learning from others.

Hello, I am Kate Long

I am the Sunday Times bestselling author of eight novels.

My  work has appeared on BBC Radio 4 and ITV, and I have written for The Independent, the Express and Mail, BBC Wildlife magazine and Good Housekeeping

Hello, I am Gillian

Originally from Birmingham I retired to Whitchurch with my husband, Brian, in 2013.

I love to paint and draw and have done so from a very, very early age.

My preference is water colour and I am self-taught usually working with a very limited palette of  three colours  and one brush!

Sometimes though … a pinch of salt may be sprinkled;  and a toothbrush splattered; a drinking straw blown and some cling film scrunched – just for a  change!

Did I say I love to paint!!!

Hello, I am Ally from Ally Glass Studio

I work from my small rural studio in shropshire and make everything glass from tealights to large bowls, and take inspiration from the beautiful countryside around me.

I do shows and farmers markets and I am a regular at Whitchurch artisan market.
